That is a GOOD step in the RIGHT direction. But unless you make this a popup to every person that visits here your going to get flooded with "hell I can't download" messages and post. You know none of the guest ever read the announcements, rules, or even the forums.

The reason it is sluggish is becuase the upgrade has not happened yet and the current load is too much for the current server. Now that leechers can't leech things should get faster and once the upgrade is done it should be even faster.

i see, makes sense. It is almost worth the lag just knowing that leechers are suffering

I cant wait till the server is done upgrading, will probably be so much faster then the past week

Edit: I have updated my complaint on the other thread asking for those who are also experiencing problems to please read this one, and to hold off on complaints about HF being slow and not being able to download untill servers are fully upgraded. (if i may)

# CPU - Dual Xeon 5410
# Memory - 16GB RAM
# 15K RPM HDD.

This is the server I am planing to upgrade to. But I think the HDD needs to be special order because the web host doesn't seem to stock them.

Question:

Is the lag better after making it only member can download? I don't think it will help just testing. Because it's not the bandwidth problem we are suffering it's the RAM CPU and HDD's speed is not fast enough I think.

The bandwidth upgrade HAS happened, that's not the issue. It seems RAM, HDD and processors are the problem, THEY are the ones that can't handle this much load, not the Internet line. Otherwise what's the meaning of the statement "Server bandwidth has been upgraded to 100mbps" ?

I was not talking about the line upgrade. I was talking about the server upgrade that Hong mentioned. Keep on track here. This thread is about a server update, not a line update.
