Illegal in the USA!
'Cause some people don't seem to care reading the whole thread first and then answering i put this in:
READ THE WHOLE THREAD FIRST BEFORE ANSWERING!
Don't take the first post as the absolute truth - you may be surprised.

Hi, we are still receiving some emails in regards to when the free section will return and I wanted to address some of the issues with it.
Earlier this year when we removed the Free section and started removing all the Lolicon people started posting on Forums that we are going Crazy and that Lolicon is legal et etc, well for all the people that think they know what

As much as I am against loli I think this is going too far.
As for HF, loli fans shouldn't worry, since Hongfire will most likely just ignore this anyway.

Considering past events, I'm not so sure...not a loli fan myself, but I made my position pretty clear about this the last time loli was removed from HF...this is a freedom of art and expression issue that'll probably go unresolved since loli fans aren't likely to take this issue to court.

There you go, for those of you who can comprehend the legalese... Anyone have info on this 2257 regulation?

But even when loli was deemed illegal in the US some time ago on HF, the only thing that was removed was the loli gallery. Everything else, from loli doujinshi and games to discussions, was still allowed. So even when the administration of Hongfire thought it was illegal, they didn't take any serious action on it.

this is still not confirmed as true, but it's still a very sad idea.

There was still a measure of ambiguity as to whether it was or wasn't illegal, last time, and you're forgetting why it was removed in the first place...to insulate HF from legal action. The gallery was removed first because it was the largest target...anyone perusing this site, casually, would have found it. The doujinshi, games, etc would have been removed eventually because they would have made HF a target as well should anyone find out about its presence here...it would have required a little more digging, but it would have been found eventually. Since it wasn't a quick and easy deletion like an entire gallery, weeding out the loli content in other sections would have simply required more time.

more like home of the brave, land of the fee. as long as there is money making in the dicissions they make its ok. but theres nothing that could be changed if we just sit on our asses complaining about (for those who do live in the us) i'm not a big fan of loli but art is still art regardless how you see it.

i just checked through what is intended to change in Section VI (the cp-part) and so far i have nothing found that loli now will be illegal in the US... actually nothing at all changed. just some minor grammar-corrections and some specialization to further differ "art" from the "real" thing
-edit-
actually "drawn" wasn't even mentioned in the changes... only "digital manipulation"... which means taking a real picture and alter it
