I generally don't post much on this site and lurk most of the time, but this time I'm in need of expertise and help from the knowledgeable guys/gals here. I had ordered the Max Factory Haruhi from Hong Kong, I had a preorder with HLJ for the longest but I chose to cancel it simply because it was cheaper there and I needed to save money. Well, let's just say I shouldn't be cheap anymore...

I can't believe this. ;_; Who ships a boxed figurine...outside of the box with the box folded up behind it!? My god, they mutilated my Haruhi. She's now become a Star Wars lightsaber battle reject! So I have some questions about the figure itself.
Have any of you who own this figurine noticed any scratches on the paint job? Specifically on mine they appear just above the high school emblem on the chest, my photo taking skills are really bad for up close so it's not too clear on the pics there. There's also a dash on her hair there and as you can see from the hand it has a patch of blue on it, most likely rubbed off from the arm and the chest as it rolled around there but I can't be sure. I think I remember hearing someone else had the scratches on the chest before somewhere...
Also, the plaque/dish stand it comes with...the pegs on it don't match the peg holes under the feet so I can't put her on her stand. Is that normal? They also are a little bigger than those feet holes. Omg, is this a bootleg? Nuuu...it can't be! It has all the official packaging, I don't see anything on it that would indicate it is...but after buying Alter's figures recently, I expected Max Factory to be better as everyone seems to love them...so shouldn't the stand be perfectly aligned?
I think I can probably repair this...but I like prepainted figures cause I'm lazy. ;_;

Its a definite bootleg.
1. Which idiot in their right mind shipped the figure and the box which was meant to protect it separately?
2. The colors are off
3. No kadokawa sticker which indicates authenticity
Thats all I managed to point out from the image. I thought by now people should've known better than to ebay for figure unless you are absolutely sure >.<

Wow. The white pantsu Haruhi means it's the first edition version. Man must really suck to have it butchered up like that. That means there's only 4999 good 1st ed Haruhi's left, heh. But really though, once bitten twice shy. If i were you i'll never ever buy another product from them ever again. Always get your figurine from trusted retailers, not some eBay bitch.

ok.. here's one thing.... if it's from Hong Kong and it's on Ebay...... it's got at least a 60% chance that it's fake... How do i noe? I bought stuff that was shipped from Hong Kong to Canada... AND I came to Canada from Hong Kong........ you'd be surprised how much fake stuff they have there.. trust me..

Yes it's a fake, as nnadia pointed out it's missing the kadokawa sticker. The box looks to be made of the wrong material also.
Is there anyone actually with an orange pantsu Haruhi? The original prototype was orange, but I am not sure about the "orange pantsu 2nd shipment".
I did not make it to the original HLJ shipment, I ended up on the 2nd and mine is white.
